We like to demonstrate the scope and complexity of some of the projects we get involved in, where we add value with our in-house engineering team.
The customer of the air and fluid manifolds are pioneers of dicing technology and high precision micro-machining. With newly upgraded machines, the requirement was for a much smaller, neater manifold, that would incorporate all valves, regulators, sensors and electrical connectors; replacing remote operated fluid valves with MAC Proportional Flow Control Valves (PFC) for more accurate and controlled dosing of coolant.
While not the most complex of projects, it is certainly one where safety to staff and stock is absolutely critical. We worked with our partner Enidine, specialists in shock and vibration isolation products, to supply and build a robust, built to last solution for an automated materials handling company. The PSI Kit contained every item needed, from the purpose built bracket down to the anchor bolts, enabling the customer to immediately install the solution.
And invariably there is a control panel to be discovered in the PSI workshop. PSI design, build, test and supply PLC panels, being regular suppliers to the rail industry and enabling operation of, typically, internal doors and bioreactors.
Safety, longevity, robustness, reliability – these are all key to PSI as we take our trusted suppliers’ products, project managing modifications where required, to tailor a complete package to the exact requirements of the customer.
