Complete turnkey test solution for rail company

The requirement was to build a test rig capable of life testing train door lock assemblies; a project which showcases the depth and breadth of skills internally at PSI Technologies.  Requiring a mindset akin to that demanded for the build of a special purpose machine, the test rig will be a complete turnkey installation, incorporating a clever counter balance within its mechanical design and sophisticated electronics. Component parts were sourced from partners Compact Automation and SMC Pneumatics.

The test rig is now close to the end of its 60,000 test cycles in the PSI workshop and has gone beyond customer expectations in terms of overcoming complex mechanical issues with its centre balancing solution.  A bespoke solution for a specific job – it’s what we’re good at.
