PHD often surprise people with some of the Unique Solutions that they develop, but these types of custom products are a major part of their business. A great example of their producing unusual product is the recent release of a volumetric pump. Not something that you would typically think of an actuator manufacturer for. However, there are a lot of comparisons. Volumetric pumps resemble a pneumatically operated syringe (or pneumatic cylinder).
