Advanced Asset Monitoring – Utility Consumption
PSI Technologies have been developing their Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) offering for a good many years and one of our most recent successes is the development of a Cloud Kitchen Utility Consumption Monitoring System for a multi national online food ordering and delivery company. What this means is that we are able to provide near real time data on energy usage and data analysis across multiple locations, all in one central Cloud based location.
Utility consumption monitoring is of importance to almost any type of business – from industrial companies to retail, to service companies; and submetering is key to energy saving. This particular company wanted to know utility usage, and then benchmark and compare across many franchisees in different geographical locations. There was also a need to identify anomalies in consumption behaviours and rank across the franchisees.
Submetering is part of a framework of energy insight
PSI have been batch assembling electricity submeters in our workshop for several months, with the sensors, gateway and cloud platform provided by our partners – Urban.io. In this instance, the submetering is part of a framework of energy insight, to include gas, electricity hot water and chilled water.
These simple yet robust sensors get near real time energy and water usage data feeds from almost any pulse output output enabled meter in existence, meaning we can truly connect legacy, remote, or disconnected assets.
There are over 20 sensors in the range, which measure outputs such as occupancy, temperature, humidity, see the full range of IoT sensors. These pair with each other for a whole suit of data and insight at your fingertips.
