We’re delighted to announce that our supplier Hanwha has introduced a new line of collaborative robots – HCR Advanced – with enhanced design, compatibility and functionality compared to the existing HCR-3, HCR-5 and HCR-12 series. The model numbers equate to the weight of the object it can handle, so 3 kilograms, 5 kilograms and 12 kilograms, respectively.
HCR Advanced incorporates an Advanced EtherCat Port for easy plug and play and 2 I/O Ports with 8 pins for direct integration with dual grippers. Robot AI 3D Vision (RAIV) improves the robots’ visual functions and maximizes their efficiency through 3D cameras and deep learning technologies. A new Robot Visual Safety (RVS) function ensures maximum safety in the presence of humans, particularly significant as the HCR-5A now operates at a faster speed.
There is also a new mobility solution with the Hanwha Automated Mobile Robot (AMR) and a monitoring service combining CCTV with a mobile app.
“Hanwha will lead the popularisation of collaborative robots and consolidate its standing in the market by introducing not only the robots but also a total solution that is customised for each customer,” Hanwha CEO Ok Kyung-seok said. PSI Technologies will be facilitating that customisation and very much look forward to working collaboratively in this exciting area.
